Boclair House Hotel, Bearsden - Chiara & Vid
One of my favourite venues!
As with most East Dumarbartonshire venues, Boclair House Hotel is close to home for me, making it an easy drive in the morning. Boclair House Hotel itself is a stunning venue, standing out with it’s beautiful red brick and well looked after gardens.
Chiara & Vid first popped into my inbox last year, but we kept in contact in the lead-up to the day and they’d had their Pre-Wedding Session around 2 months before the wedding.
As you’ll see here, although Chiara & Vid were great in front of the camera, coming across really naturally, the real star of the show was Cindy the dog!
I joined Chiara at Bridal Prep, capturing Jenna Clayton Makeup at work. Chiara works with animals and was keen to make sure all 3 pets were included in the day!
Then it was off to Boclair House Hotel itself to link up with Vid and get ready for the ceremony itself.
What a ceremony it was, Andrew Scott has to be one of my favourite celebrants to date. Andrew immediately set a relaxed tone for the ceremony, in line with Chiara & Vid’s wishes. The ceremony was very well put together, telling the story of how they met and their life together now.
Cindy the dog was their chosen ring bearer, accompanied by Fetch-n-Stretch to keep her on task.
After the ceremony, it was straight into family photos & then on to our couples portrait session. Although it really depends on the day, I generally find this is the best way to go. It means although busy, you get all the photos out of the way in plenty of time, and can head back to the reception with plenty of time before dinner!
Whilst the weather gods of Scotland threatened rain, we managed to avoid it. Chiara & Vid were treated to a dry weather day with only a brief cloudy spell throughout their day.
Cindy has the top spot as best wedding dog this year! She was an absolute star!
After dinner, it was on to cake & dancing, what’s not to like?!
Boclair provided a sword for Chiara & Vid to cut their cake, it’s fair to say Vid was happy with this.
